The Honolulu Star-Advertiser has committed to an on-going monthly contribution program to help Hawaii’s school teachers and students!
SupportMyClass.org is an initiative of the Hawaii Children’s Foundation. It is an online community dedicated to helping Hawaii’s public school teachers fund creative classroom needs that further the educational experience for local students. A teacher can post a wish list of items they need on SupportMyClass.org. Friends, family or anyone who would like to support the project teacher can donate. When the goal is met, the requested items are purchased and sent directly to the school.
Requests range from rulers for a geometry class, to music stands for a school recital, to safety goggles for a biology class and computer thumb drives.
After items have been purchased and are in use in the classroom, teachers and students are encouraged to post updates so that supporters can follow along and see the great job our teachers and students are doing.
Take a look at the wish lists that need your help and make a donation today. Anything, from as little as a dollar, will make a difference. We encourage families, aunties, uncles, cousins, friends and businesses to support Hawaii’s classrooms and to follow along with the students as they progress.
